New York Jewelers CRIME ALERT NETWORK Home

As a member of the Jewelry industry in New York City, you are being invited to participate in a vital project, a crime alert network that will notify participating New York area jewelers about crimes and attempted crimes occurring in your area.

The Jewelers Security Alliance has encouraged the formation of community based information sharing networks as one of the most effective ways to prevent crimes and catch criminals who are preying on the jewelry industry. The New York Jewelers Crime Alert Network (NYJCAN.COM) has been formed to help you and your colleagues distribute crime information quickly and efficiently. The goals of the network are:

   1.  To quickly share information on crimes, attempted crimes, suspicious situations and crime methods

   2.  To prevent crimes

   3.  To work with the police and provide information that can lead to the arrest of criminals

Participation in this network is free. All you have to do is submit your primary contact information and an email address (or fax number), along with an alternate contact in case your primary contact is not available.  Click here to join the network now.  Information about crime incidents in the New York City area will be distributed as quickly as possible to the members of the network. Members should then share the information with all their employees. Members who experience a crime or suspicious incident should contact the Network Administrator (after notifying the Police) who will then broadcast the information to the network members

Information about crime incidents will only be distributed by the Network Administrator. This will ensure accuracy and completeness in the notifications. Please note that the names of stores, companies or individuals who were the subject of a crime or attempted crime will not be released unless expressly requested by the victim.  Click here to report an incident.

Crime Alerts will only be distributed via email or fax. Please note your preference. Our preference is email wherever possible.  Click here to contact the website administrator.

We look forward to your participation in this important project. Please feel free to call if you have any questions.
